The Living Greenhouse
The Living Greenhouse
Microbes, plants and what is really growing in your greenhouseA growing library on the living side of greenhouse growing: the microbes in your water, on your surfaces and around your roots, and how they work with, or against, your plants. Some help, some cause disease, most go unnoticed. We show what is there and what it can mean for your crop.
Start here: before you replant
Are you sure you're clean? What a greenhouse clean-out removes, and what it can leave behind
Where pathogens hide after a clean-out, a checklist to work through before planting, and why "detected" doesn't always mean "alive".
Coming this fall: how ToBRFV is changing, choosing between a broad scan and a single-target test, live versus dead after a clean-out, and disease profiles.

Our commitment to accuracy
Growers make real decisions from our results: what to treat, what to remove, when to replant. We take that responsibility seriously. Every sample goes through a specialized process built for consistent, repeatable results, and every report is checked by our science team before it reaches you. When a result is uncertain, we tell you so plainly instead of guessing. Our goal is simple: give you only what we can stand behind, in language you can act on.
About your results
A sample in which an organism is not detected does not prove the strict absence of that organism. Fluctuations in pathogen levels, the unequal distribution of the pathogen on the sampled material, strain variability, and any limitations of laboratory protocols can influence a false negative rate. Our reports describe the microbes detected in the submitted sample; they are not a diagnosis, and detection of an organism does not by itself show that it is alive or causing disease. Therefore, UBIX BIO makes no guarantees to the client that a non-detection indicates a sample is unequivocally free of any organism. UBIX BIO shall not be liable for any loss or damages incurred by the client resulting from any management decisions made by the client informed by these results. This disclaimer and release of liability shall also be binding upon the Client's successors, heirs, executors, and administrators. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.
